Workers in microchip implant trial

An American company has started piloting a controversial new program aimed at increasing security. Three workers from City Watcher.com, a surveillance equipment provider, have volunteered to be electronically monitored via a silicon chip implanted in their arms. The chips will emit radio signals that will provide information to a central monitoring system that will allow the workers access to secure areas of the workplace.

Sean Darks, CEO of City Watcher, said the glass-encased chips were more like identity cards that are inserted inside the recipient’s body. He said it was different from Global Positioning Satellite technology, which allows the tracking and monitoring of a person’s whereabouts.

If the micro chips which show someone’s location, ID, or something is in the human body, I think the world will become safer than current world. If so, people who are likely to do some crimes will be watched by the government or company. But, I think this system ignores private problem. If this system insert, we will watched from the authority, and we have no private time.
